Welcome to our site.

Lignocellulosic biomass (wood, bamboo, rice straw, sorghum etc.) is composed of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. However, these three different polymers form inter-penetrating network (IPN) polymer structure and as a result, it is very difficult to separate these polymers, especially lignin. Our laboratory aims at value-added use of all components of lignocellulosic biomass.
